Coding Caravan
Scratch, Python, and web development taught through hands-on exploration.
“How do you turn “I could never build that” into a first project?”
The question
Making a first program work changes the way you look at software. Coding Caravan is a way to make that experience available to younger students, using projects small enough to begin and interesting enough to keep exploring.
What I do
As co-founder and lead instructor, I have taught Scratch, Python, and web development to more than 50 K–5 students. The initiative expanded from volunteer outreach into paid instruction serving at least five students, with supporting web infrastructure.
The connection
Teaching makes assumptions visible. Explaining an idea to someone building their first project requires the same attention to feedback and clarity that a good software interface needs.
The next question
How can a tool make the next experiment feel possible? This connects Coding Caravan to the learning and practice experience in JEFF.
